Provides an advanced introduction to social research methods relevant to end of life care. For 2011 the course runs for either one week or two (the first week consists of lectures and workshops while the second week students have group discussions and individual tutorials focussing on the development of their own research) and they commence on 20th June and 28th June respectively. Please visit website for further information.
We also run a new taught PhD in Palliative Care. The aim of the course is to equip people working in palliative, hospice and end of life care to undertake advanced study within their chosen field, including clinical work, education, research, management, policy and advocacy. If offers the opportunity to complete a PhD by distance e-learning course work, research and thesis. The course commences in June each year with a compulsory one week residential based here in Lancaster, with a further one residential each year. |
