Hi,
My father also has issues swallowing food or fluids. My mother, his caregiver, gives him cold water and yogurt using a big syringe. This seems to help somewhat.
Hope this helps you

Hi 509dannyboy,

Just replying to your post - those are all great ideas on getting fluids in and relieving thirst for your dad!  I also noted that your dad lives at a distance from you.

Like you I have a parent at a distance - and we have a discussion going on in "long distance caregiving" in Just Want to Talk.
Maybe you would like to join in - as we are all dealing with similar challenges!

Hope that you have a good evening
Best wishes
NatR
